Use Cases

A separate path for work that cannot use the usual one.

M2 is designed for defined, temporary groups that need less identity coupling and a distinct communication boundary—not for replacing every everyday messenger.

01

Out-of-band incident response

When corporate communication may be disrupted or under investigation, a fresh M2 Channel gives the response team a separate encrypted coordination path. It complements—not replaces—required incident records and evidence handling.

02

Field and crisis coordination

A temporary team can coordinate without folding personal phone numbers, contact graphs, and long-lived accounts into the operation. Device protection and disciplined invitation handling remain essential.

03

Authorized security assessment

Approved red-team and assessment participants can keep operational coordination inside a dedicated Channel with its own lifetime. M2 does not authorize activity or replace the engagement’s legal scope and recordkeeping.

04

Sensitive professional advisory teams

Legal, financial, strategic, or transaction teams may need a communication compartment separate from ordinary personal and organizational accounts. Where professional duties require retention, use the appropriate system of record alongside M2.

05

Temporary cross-organization collaboration

A defined group from several organizations can establish a shared Channel without creating a permanent global M2 identity. Close the compartment when the task ends and avoid reusing it for unrelated work.

06

When M2 is not the right fit

Choose another system when you need permanent searchable archives, regulated records, public community discovery, centralized identity management, or broad desktop interoperability today.
